— OUR STORY FOR HIS GLORY

Pastor Armando & Marisol Zendejas

LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Armando and Marisol have been married for 38 years, have spent 28 years in pastoral ministry, and are the proud parents of eight children—four sons and four daughters. Their entire life and ministry are dedicated to a singular purpose: Exalting Christ, Equipping the church, and Evangelizing the world.

With a long career managing heavy infrastructure and construction projects, Pastor Mando brings a builder’s mindset to ministry and earning his Bachelor’s degree in Theology, he combines rigorous biblical grounding with a practical, hands-on approach. He is passionate about establishing strong, genuine foundations in people's lives and ensuring everyone feels a sense of belonging. His teaching style is down-to-earth and highly practical, focusing on making the Word of God accessible and easily applicable to the everyday challenges of work, family, and community life.

Sister Maddy came to know Christ at a young age, stepping into a rich musical heritage rooted in her father, Leslie Monroe, a well-known Tejano music artist. Trained as a classical violin player, first-chair saxophonist, and orchestra concertmaster, she and her family brought their talents straight to the altar when they embraced the Gospel. Alongside her deep musical roots—and having also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theology from CBAN—Maddy has spent a lifetime playing violin, keyboards, and saxophone in the worship team while raising up musicians for the Kingdom. When they welcomed each of their children, Maddy's faithful prayer for each child was that God would raise them up as musicians to worship Him—a prayer the Lord answered as every single child grew to use their musical gifts to exalt Christ and Equip the local church.

A natural leader from her youth—having served as president of the local Messengers of Peace youth group—Maddy’s heart for service expanded across decades. Together, they served side by side on the East Texas District Board, pouring their hearts, administrative gifts, and leadership into regional ministry.

Their heart for the Kingdom has also extended far beyond local borders into an extensive international ministry. Through the nurture and mentorship of their loving mother, Maddy—living out the promise of Proverbs 22:6 to train up a child in the way they should go—their entire family has been deeply rooted in missions and global ministry. That culture of global vision has deeply shaped the church, empowering not only their own children but many of the young people in their congregation to travel, serve, and carry the light of the Gospel to the nations, but their heart remains anchored right at home. They firmly believe that true global impact begins with a faithful foundation in the home.

— OUR CO-PASTOR

Armando Jr & Bonnie Zendejas

CO-PASTOR

Pastor Dito has been helping shepherd this congregation since he was just nine years old. When Apostolic Life Center first began with only our family and one other couple, Dito was right there. With his mom on the keyboard, she encouraged him to jump on the drums and sing. When he pointed out that the room was empty, her response became a defining moment for our church: "Just close your eyes and sing to Jesus."

Since that day, Dito has been instrumental in leading people into God's presence, famously playing drums and singing simultaneously. His dedication goes far beyond the platform; at nine years old, he was dragging sacks of concrete and tools, helping his father build the physical church walls from the ground up. Over the years, Dito has served as a deacon, a youth leader, and eventually the District President for the Messengers of Peace for the East Texas District. He brings a profound depth of knowledge to his ministry, holding a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M-Kingsville, a Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Houston-Victoria, and a Bachelor's in Theology from CBAN.

Dito and Bonnie were married in December 2024, and Bonnie is a ministry powerhouse in her own right. Holding a Associate's degree in Physical Therapy, she is a dynamic worship leader and a deeply anointed teacher. Before moving to South Texas, she served as the right-hand to her pastors at Fuente de Misericordia Church in Balch Springs (Dallas area) and was the District Secretary for the Messengers of Peace in the North Texas district—a position she stepped away from to marry Dito and join our ALC family.

Today, as Co-Pastors, Dito and Bonnie are an incredible team. Together, they oversee our education department, lead the Friday Bible Book Club, and actively participate in our Overflow Life Groups. They carry a special burden for tending to the married couples in our church, pouring their hearts, extensive experience, and unwavering dedication into the Apostolic Life Center community.

— OUR ASSISTANT PASTOR

Pedro E & Viridiana Zendejas

ASSISTANT PASTOR

Pete and Viri have been married for over three years and bring incredible joy and dedication to the Apostolic Life Center family. Together, they form a powerful ministry team who perfectly complement one another in their service to the church community.

As one of our main Assistant Pastors, Pete is the driving force behind ALC's operations and logistics, ensuring every ministry runs smoothly. He is a dynamic preacher with a deep, burning passion for missions. His leadership is supported by a strong academic foundation, holding a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering & Construction Management from Texas A&M-Kingsville and a Bachelor's in Theology from CBAN.

Viri brings a deeply rooted spiritual heritage to her ministry. Originally from East Palo Alto, California, she is an anointed young lady who grew up faithfully serving the EPA Apostolic Church under the leadership of Bishop Joe Prado. Ministry has always been a family cornerstone for Viri; she served alongside her parents, Co-Pastor Daniel and Virginia Velasquez, and her brother, Adiel, pouring into the EPA Apostolic Family before bringing her gifts to Texas.

Today, Viri’s passion for the Lord is felt across multiple areas of ALC. She serves with administrative grace as the Treasurer for the Ladies Department, shapes the hearts of the next generation as a lead teacher for ALC Kids, and ushers the congregation into the presence of God as a lead vocalist on the Worship Team. Furthermore, she is an incredibly gifted translator, powerfully bridging language gaps and ensuring that the Word of God reaches every single heart in the room.

— OUR EVANGELISM & MUSIC MINISTRY

Jeremy R & Anel Garza

EVANGELISM & OVERFLOW LIFE GROUPS DIRECTORS

Jeremy and Anel were joyfully married on April 1, 2026, and share a deep, unifying passion for missions. Their love story is uniquely woven with their calling—they connected while Jeremy was serving a three-month term as a Junior Missionary in Japan. Today, they bring that same global heart and dedication to the Apostolic Life Center family.

Anel brings a rich, lifelong foundation of ministry to ALC. As the oldest of three Pastor’s Kids, and alongside her sister, Azalia, and brother, Gadiel, joyfully and diligently assisted their parents, Pastor Lorenzo and Silvia Hernandez, shepherd Oasis Christian Center in Ridgecrest, California. After moving to the Los Angeles area to earn her Bachelor's in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from Cal State San Bernardino, she became an amazing addition to the Riverside Apostolic Church. There, she served faithfully under Pastor Marty Calderon until bringing her gifts to Texas to marry Jeremy.

Today, Jeremy and Anel are vital pillars of our worship experience. Jeremy is an exceptionally talented and anointed musician who leads powerfully on the guitar, supported by a strong academic foundation with a Bachelor's in Theology from CBAN and an Associate's in Occupational Safety from Del Mar College. Their leadership, however, extends well beyond the platform. Together, Jeremy and Anel direct our ALC Kids choir, lead our midweek Overflow Groups, and spearhead our community evangelism endeavors, pouring their hearts into both the church family and the city.

Emmanuel and Marina

As Marina Maya Lopez steps into a brand-new season in Odessa, our ALC family wants to pause and celebrate the incredible blessing she has been to us.

With her infectious smile and a beautiful heart that truly never meets a stranger, Marina has always possessed a unique gift for connecting effortlessly with everyone—from our youngest children to our most treasured elders.
